<p class=MsoNormal>Has anyone gotten replication from Windows to Linux
running? If so, can you help a newby out?<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Having gotten replication between Linux hosts working, I
thought I knew what I was doing. When I tried to configure the cluster
with Windows as the master, I got errors like:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>PGRES_FATAL_ERROR load '$libdir/xxid'; - ERROR:
access to library "$libdir/xxid" is not allowed<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Eventually, it sunk in that I needed to install Slony on the
Windows host. I downloaded the installer at <a
href="http://developer.pgadmin.org/~hiroshi/Slony-I/slony-I-1.2.11R-pg82.zip">http://developer.pgadmin.org/~hiroshi/Slony-I/slony-I-1.2.11R-pg82.zip</a>
. It throws the error:<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Module C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.2\lib\slevent.dll
failed to register. HRESULT -2147023898. Contact your support
personnel.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Being my own “support personnel”, I’m
stuck.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
