ok, one step further(?):

as soon as i noticed the above mentioned condition stops the WHOLE 
replication process for the affected nodes (although only triggered by a 
"move set" test for a test set...) i recreated the nodes from scratch.

now i'm "only" left with messages about "Events not propagating in 
sl_event" to a now non-existent node (recreated because of this with a 
new id). can someone tell me how to get rid of these (hopefully) 
harmless messages?
