I've never seen any data loss on a MOVE SET or DROP NODE. I haven't done DROP NODE very often, so I can't say how robust that is. Slony does operate at transaction boundaries, and takes locks on tables to prevent other operations from happening, so it is hard to see how this kind of error would happen.
