I have Slony running perfectly between two Windows 2003 servers, an
Windows XP and an Amazon cloud computer (Debian).
The problem I am having is when I do not include the password in the
connection info between nodes, an error message is sent to the Event log
in Windows stating:
"ERROR slon_connectdb: PQconnectdb("host=remotehost user=slony
dbname=mydbase") failed - fe_sendauth: no password supplied"
This is not an error - the passwords are handled correctly by the pgpass
files on each machine. This error message is posted every 10 seconds
and clutters up the Event logs on each machine. Again the machines sync
fine without the password but to stop the message I have to include it
in the connection string (not good).
How can I disable this message?
Thanks
Bruce
