Can 1.2.14 and 1.2.15 run together, or is this not possible either? It would be nice for minor patch releases to be compatible, just during the upgrade process. master db - slave db 2 query slave dbs. Switchover from master to slave, upgrade master, start slon, comes into sync, slave (which is still on 1.2.14) runs a switchover to master whom is now running 1.2.15, take down slave, upgrade, start slon on 1.2.15, master again replicating to slave. Etc. I'm just remembering that versions were not compatible, but am not clear if that goes for smaller patch versions as well? And if not, it's kind of a pain :) Thanks Tory
