I have a need to connect to a database, and quickly and easily determine whether it is the slony master or a slony slave. Currently, I do a "BEGIN; DELETE FROM <replicated_table>; ROLLBACK", and test to see if the DELETE query succeeds or not. Unfortunately, this causes a bit more transaction traffic than I'm comfortable with. Is there a better way to get the same information? -- Bill Moran Collaborative Fusion Inc. http://people.collaborativefusion.com/~wmoran/ wmoran at collaborativefusion.com Phone: 412-422-3463x4023 **************************************************************** IMPORTANT: This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named.
