Hello all! We're looking at migrating our the mecanism for replicating our production database to a spare server. Currently it's replicated every hour using in-house scripts and working well but will not produce a "fresh" copy of the database in case of switch. That's why slony1 seems the best solution for us as we don't need to have two live DBs but a replication mecanism that is able more real-time. The issue is that we are using spatial data with "PostGis" ( a library of types and functions to handle spatial data ). I search the slony1 FAQ and googling but didn't find any information about the couple "Slony1-PostGis". ==>Do you know if slony1 works with PostGis, do we have any feedback about mixing them ? Is there any known issue or success story ? Thank you for help ! Pascal. LaRoueVerte http://laroueverte.com
