That's not so.
There are numerous (15) places in the stored functions (slony1_funcs.sql)
where you find the code:
-- Rewrite sl_listen table
perform @NAMESPACE at .RebuildListenEntries();
This makes it completely unnecessary for altperl scripts to do anything
about listen paths.
