Brad wasn't completely clear here. Idle in transaction entries in
pg_stat_activity are ok, as long as they aren't long-running. 

You may want to create a slony user for slony to use to connect. This
way, pg_stat_activity will tell you for sure if slony is responsible for
these connections.
