I've been using slony1 for about a year now. My thanks to everyone who has worked on it! Everytime I setup replication the replicated database grows almost twice the size of the master. If I do a vacuum full it is not quite as big but it is still larger by 50%. Is this typical behavior or am I doing something wrong? I used slony1 on a 7.3 and 8.0 database with simular results. I've been trying to find if someone else already asked this, the close I found was: http://gborg.postgresql.org/pipermail/slony1-general/2004-August/000410.html I couldn't find the resolution of that thread.
