Actually, pg_autovacuum was definitely running.  (Checked and verified, 
pg_listener is even in the logging for the pg_autovacuum daemon).

Cool.  When 1.0.3 is released I'll try it again with the 100ms sync delay.

It's kind of a non-issue now.  A 1 second sync delay seems to be working 
fine (pg_autovacuum is on too).
