Hi, What would be the procedure for directly using slony's database functions rather than going through slonik? Is this a Bad Idea? I ask because I am building a set of tools to add instances of my application's database into slony replication. Currently the tool creates a shell script that feeds slonik the appropriate commands, and then execute the shell script. This works but is kind of clumsy. Since our management system is written in PHP it would be really nice to just be able to hook directly into the slony system rather than go through slonik. I haven't dug through the code yet. If that is the best way to learn the ins and outs of doing this, where would the best place to start be? Thanks, D. McClelland
