Hi list,

I am having major issues trying to set-up replication on postgresql
7.4.6 using slony1.0.5, as the installation/configuration documentation
is very poor.? I originally tried to use the slony_setup.pl to install
and setup the replication, however I had major problems.? I was then
told to use the perl scripts in the altperl directory however the README
file does not really explain how to set up the slony replication.

At the moment I am trying to get replication working on a very simple
set-up of a database with a single table in it, just to see how it all
works.? If I can get replication working it is going to be used on 200+
table database.?

If anyone could help me with a idiot's guide to installing and setting
up slony and replication it would make me really happy as this mini
project has become a major headache, and I am probably missing something
simple in the set-up.? So any help would be much appreciated.
